Chana masala curry-chole masala curry-is a punjabi recipe intitally it is famous in North India but know this recipe likes everyone in India. This recipe is the right choice while having puri’s or batura and also good while having roti’s, pulka’s, white rice, biriyani or any other rice varieties. Here i cook this recipe by adding extra flavours like tea decaution, tamarind juice due to this it gets a very good taste but in all other websites shows regular preparation process of this recipe by adding these two ingredients while cooking gets a good taste.
According to health wise it is very good because here we are using chick peas or chana as main ingredient all of us know how this chana is helps to our health it is rich in fiber, nutrients,iron, zinc, phosphorous and many more. Chick peas helps to control blood sugar levels and it is very helpful ofr diabetic patients and also improves digestion reduces weight loss due to its fiber content.Chick peas great source of plant protein due to its essential minerals and protiens it protects heart disease and cancer.

Ingredients:-
- Chana-1.5 cups
- onions-1 cup
- tomatoes-1 cup
- ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp
- cinamon stick-1/2 inch
- bay leaf-1
- cloves- 2 to 4
- ilachi-1 or 2
- corinder powder-1 tsp
- cumin powder-3/4 tsp
- tea decaution-1/4 cup
- tamarind juice-1/4 cup
- chole masala powder-2 tsp
- salt to taste
- red chilli powder to taste
- turmeric powder- 1 pinch
- oil-3 to 4 tbsp
- coriander leaves optional
Preparation method:-
- 1.Initially soak chana for whole night, later boil chana in a pressure cooker by adding 1.5 cups of water, mash boiled chana coarsely.Finely chop tomatoes and onions and keep both are aside.
- 2.Heat oil in a wide bottomed pan add cinnamon stick, bay leaf, cloves, cardamom powder, green chilies, ginger garlic paste cook it till raw smell went off.
- 3.Now add onions mix it until it becomes transparent later add tomatoes cook it till it becomes smooth add small cup of water cook it for some time.
- 4.Add boiled chana into it later salt to taste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, chole masala powder, cumin powder, mix again cook it well a nice aroma comes out.
- 5.Later add tamarind juice, tea decaution cook it until water evaporates and become little thicker.
- 6.Now switch off the flame and serve hot hot chana masala curry along with paratas, chapathi’s, roti’s or pulkas.
